The Opera Camper

Designed by a Dutch and German team, The Opera Camper takes after an architectural icon, the Sydney’s Opera House. Which such an inspiration model, the low profile trailer has big shoes to fill, but at the end of the day, it surprisingly succeeds in doing it.

First of all, the small, compact and lightweight design provides an array of benefits, not needing the heavy SUVs that we usually see towing caravans. An average touring sedan is enough to tug the Opera Camper wherever you want, without the need of putting a big dent in your pocket for gas money.

The camper awes its viewer, transforming in just a couple of minutes in a mobile suite. The top of the camper folds into an enclosed teak porch, while the fabric-roof pops open, similar to the sail of a boat, creating a tent shaped home. Built with high standards, once installed, the sleek interior is revealed, making efficient use of every inch available.

The Opera Camper is equipped with two beds that, with a simple push of a button, slide together into a queen size bed, also featuring a motorized back that converts them both into reclining seats. A modular kitchen that can be moved, a simple stove, a top loading refrigerator, a wine cabinet, integrated LED lighting, a ceramic toilet, running water including a heater and a boiler that can provide hot water for the kitchen, toilet and the outdoor shower are some others facilities the caravan provides.

Even if there are lots of solutions available on the market, The Opera Camper is surely a few levels above competition, impressing with the almost impossible compactness and, at the same time, with luxury and high standard features that it offers. Becoming recently available in Europe and Asia, the prices for this little camper start at around 27,000 Euros. Despite a somehow hefty price, with a design made to appeal both the mobile retirees and the youth roadies, The Opera Camper certainly offers the most pleasant habitation conditions out there
