What is Screencast ?

screencast is a recording, both previous and in real time, of the output from a computer to a computer monitor or other output device. The recording is typically stored on a hard drive, flash drive or CD/DVD disc.
Audio may be included with a screencast, as narration for the recorded video. They can be used for training sessions, to teach other computer users how to use a particular software program or piece of hardware. Screencasts are also used in advertising; by showing viewers how a particular product works and why they should purchase it.
