3D Doodler- the most amazing stuff

Sometimes the simplest of concepts produce the most amazing stuff. Forget the complex software and technical knowledge needed to operate a 3D printer; if you can scribble, trace or wave a finger in the air, you can use the world’s first 3D pen, the 3Doodler. The pen is essentially a plastic extruder: heated plastic is pushed through the hole in the tip of the pen which cools and solidifies into strong ABS plastic designs. All you need is a power socket, and you can start creating in minutes. Forgotten a friend’s birthday? Knock up a bespoke piece of jewelry, fridge magnet or personalised phone case. Even if you haven’t a creative bone in your body, you can use the 3Doodler’s extensive selection of stencils (like the two-foot Eiffel Tower below). The pens are not on General release as yet – the Boston based company WobbleWorks recently launched a kickstarter campaign to get the product into production. With nearly $500,000 behind them at the time of writing, it looks like 3Doodler will be coming to a shelf near you very soon.
